The Laser Cleaning Process
Laser cleaning uses focused light pulses to ablate contaminants from a metal surface. The physics are simple — the execution takes skill.
Assess the Surface
We evaluate the substrate, contamination type, and coating thickness to dial in the correct power, frequency, and scan speed before touching the part.
Set Up & Test
A small test pass confirms settings are dialed in. We adjust until the result is exactly right — clean metal, no damage.
Clean the Part
The laser head moves across the surface in controlled passes. Rust, paint, and oxides are vaporized or ablated. The base metal is unaffected.
Inspect & Hand Off
We inspect the finished surface and hand it back ready for the next step — welding, coating, painting, or assembly.
